Perched on the picturesque hills of Kyiv, we have crafted a modern space for a young family with two daughters, where the aesthetics of natural materials enhance everyday comfort.
This interior is designed not only to be seen but also to be touched and felt. Every element has its own texture and character: light wooden flooring, clay decor accents, linen textiles, and soft furnishings create a rich tactile experience.
When the clients asked for a “cozy space for connection,” we knew the living room would be the heart of this project. Slatted sliding doors conceal bookshelves, striking a perfect balance between “display and hide,” while the family’s favorite spot—a large sofa—becomes the gathering place for evening movie nights.
“We often host guests, but we also love cooking together.” This phrase set the tone for the kitchen-dining area. The island is designed for two people to cook comfortably side by side, while the large table for eight invites lively dinners with friends.
The bedroom was all about tranquility. Minimalist lines, a 3D-textured wall that shifts with the light, and an olive-green bed—an unexpected but grounding accent that adds character without overpowering the space.
For the children’s room, the goal was simple: make the sisters actually want to share it. A bunk bed with a built-in desk kept the floor open for play while ensuring a dedicated study area.
“We bought this apartment because of the terrace,” the owners admitted. Naturally, it became the centerpiece of warm-season living. A built-in fireplace, a cozy lounge area, and panoramic views make it the perfect setting for family evenings from April to October.
