The project is a two-storey minimalist house designed for a young modern family in the suburbs of Kyiv, Ukraine. Located on a plot of land with pine trees that have been preserved as part of the natural landscape, the house makes the most of natural light.
The ground floor is an open-concept living space with a large kitchen, dining room and living room that flow into each other, separated only by a central fireplace and movable glass partitions. There is also a gym and one guest room with a bathroom on the ground floor. Panoramic windows offer views of both the private courtyard and the BBQ area. Trees on the territory provide shade and privacy. On the second floor there is a private sitting area.
Outside, there is a dedicated entertainment area for BBQs and gatherings with friends. There are sofas and enough space to prepare culinary masterpieces on the grill. There is an outdoor pool between this area and the house.
The exterior façade combines Corten, which naturally changes color over time under the influence of weather conditions, and architectural concrete panels, which provide a modern, neutral contrast while being extremely durable and low-maintenance. Together, these materials combine an organic, natural aesthetic with modern geometric lines.
Overall, the house emphasizes the connection between the young family and the natural landscape.
